Antoinette “Toni” Medart
July 7, 1915 – February 17, 2013
Toni passed away, at the age of 97, after a brief illness. Toni is survived by her two daughters, Fran (Bob) Jackson of El Dorado and Janet (Jim) Griggs of Diamond Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Walter. Married during WWII, she was very active in the USO during WWII all the way through the Vietnam War where she always invited service men into her home for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Toni was a wonderful cook whom you could count on to send you home with a jar of leftovers after a great spaghetti dinner. She was also an avid crocheter and a lover of the sun.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 12 noon preceded by visitation at 11 am at the Chapel of the Pines Mortuary, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville, CA. Interment to follow at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville, CA. In lieu of flowers donation may be made, in Toni’s name, to St. Patrick Catholic Church Upper Room, 3109 Sacramento St., Placerville, CA 95667 or www.feedthechildren.org

Sorry to see that Toni has passed away. She and Walter were neighbors when I was a kid. I remember her well. She was a good friend of my folks. Condolences to the family.
