Bertha June Morecraft, of El Dorado Hills, Calif., passed away into the arms of Jesus, her lord and savior, at 4:35 p.m., on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
She is survived by William S. Morecraft, her loving husband of 60 years; her daughter, Carol and her husband, Stephen Cox; son, Bill and wife, Cheri Morecraft; five beloved adult grandchildren, Daniel Cox and wife, Michelle, Brandon Cox, Christy Cox, Katie Abela and husband, Nick and Matthew Morecraft; five great-grandchildren, Gillian, Aeryn and Isaac Cox and Tucker and Emmalyn Abela; and her siblings, George and John Frost, Patricia Bonner, Carolyn Gleason and step-brother, Peter Huffman.
Bertha was surrounded by her immediate family even as she took her last breath. She lit up our lives with her love. There will be a memorial service for her on Saturday, July 5, at 11 a.m., at Pollock Pines Community Church. Donations may be made on behalf of Bertha to Snowline Hospice of El Dorado County.
