Betty Perkins passed away quietly in her sleep July 28, 2012. She was 87 years old, living in Pasadena, Calif. She was married to Maurice (Perk) Perkins on Dec. 11, 1943. She and Perk lived in Southern California after their marriage, then spent 20 years in Diamonds Springs before returning to Pasadena last year.
Betty is survived by her husband, Perk Perkins; daughters, Karen Jorgensen and Cindi Caldwell; sister, Nola Picht; and grandchildren, Scott Howey, Tina Kantner, Wendy Wood, Walter Howey and Megan Walsh, in addition to their spouses and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Hargraves; and her grandson, Jedidiah DuPont.
A memorial service for Betty will be held Sunday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m., at Custer Christiansen Mortuary, 124 So. Citrus Avenue in Covina, Calif. Betty was the quiet Queen of our family, and she’ll live on in our hearts.
