Bill Kirkpatrick went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Aug. 30, 2013, after a short illness. He was born in Benton, Ark., and raised in Tuscon, Ariz. He loved the Lord, his family and many friends. He was a member of the Pipe-Fitters and Steamfitters Union for 59 years, working on power plants, missile bases, solar scope, etc. He never met a stranger; he was truly a people-person. He will be dearly missed by all.
Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty; daughter, Tammy Hill of Placerville; son, Bill Kirkpatrick of Ione; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter. His daughter, Paris Lynn, preceded him in death in 1963.
A memorial service will be held on Sept. 21, at 1 p.m., at Diamond Springs Mobile Home Park clubhouse in Placerville.
