Brian Marlin

Dec. 24, 1972 — Dec. 19, 2012

Brian Devon Marlin was born Dec. 24, 1972, in Placerville, Calif., and went home to be with the Lord Dec. 19, 2012. He lived his entire life in El Dorado County. He attended Herbert Green School and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1991. He spent the majority of his working life operating heavy equipment in the construction and logging industries.

Brian leaves behind his daughters, Korbyn and Kylie; mother, Priscilla Petanovich; brothers, Seth (Kim) and Tommy; father, Terry Marlin; Aunt Mellanie; Uncle Scott; and numerous other Uncles, Aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Petanovich Jr.; and his grandparents, Woody and Betty Downing, Pete Sr. and Bernice Petanovich and Tex and Fern Marlin.

Brian was a stellar athlete, concentrating his talent in his love for the game of baseball, playing little league, big league, high school and American Legion ball. He was a lifelong avid fisherman and a fine woodsman who learned alongside his dad. Brian, you are so dearly missed, we will never forget you and your beautiful smile.

Brian attended Green Valley Community Church in Placerville. A celebration of his life will be held there on Friday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m., with a lunch reception following downstairs.
