Carl was born in Rockford, Ill. He moved to California to work at Aerojet and retired after 25 years of service. After retiring he had his own sign-painting business for 10 years. He was a resident of Shingle Springs. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge, an avid golfer and belonged to the Cold Springs Country Club.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jessie. He had five children, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
