Chester Krebs, born in Omaha, Neb., June 1, 1929, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Placerville, Calif. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kari; three sons, Dale (Peggy) Krebs of Colorado, Kris (Shereen) Krebs of Oregon and Todd (Jenny) Krebs of Placerville; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Chester was a 1st lieutenant in the Korean War. He attended school in Southern California, Washington State, then San Jose State. He enjoyed fishing, camping, Pai Gow Poker and sports. With three boys he was always there rooting them on in baseball, wrestling, track and football. He loved playing cards with his kids and grandkids.
Chester will be missed by all. Private inurnment has been held. Contributions in Chester’s name may be made to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Road, Diamond Springs, CA 95619 or online at snowlinehospice.org. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville.
