Clara, better known as “Meity,” passed away Aug. 4, 2014, at Marshall Hospital in Placerville, Calif. She was born April 1, 1930, in Yreka, Calif., to Joe and Olga Arnold. Meity grew up in Grenada and graduated from Yreka High School in 1948. She and her husband, Arnold Scarrow, were married in Reno. Arnie’s work in construction took them and their daughter, Tamara, to various towns before settling in Pollock Pines.
Meity is survived by her daughter, Tamara Scarrow, who helped her so much after her cancer diagnosis; sisters, Sissy Roberts and Frieda Stimson; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; and a younger sister and brother, Joey and Buddy. She was a good friend and neighbor, loving mother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. We will all miss her. Rest in peace, Meity.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life on Aug. 23, at 3 p.m., at 5792 Joni Court in Pollock Pines, Calif.
