Clifford A. Sylvester was born May 11, 1925,and passed away peacefully, shortly after having a stroke on Sept. 26, 2012. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He worked as a machinist at Hewlett-Packard for 18 years and retired at the age of 62. He was a loving father of seven children, 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Clifford will be missed by everyone, especially by his niece, Kathy Morgan Mitchell from Illinois, who flew out to see him and say goodbye. Rest in peace, Dad.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m., at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road in Placerville. Interment will follow at Westwood Hills Memorial Park in Placerville. Friends may sign an electronic guestbook and leave condolences at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
