Oct. 12, 1929 — July 14, 2012
Clifford K. Jackson, 82, went home peacefully on July 14, 2012. He was born in Oakland, Calif., on Oct. 12, 1929. Cliff moved to El Dorado County in 1959, to work for Larry Cameron building the first houses in Cameron Park. He owned and operated the Shingle Springs Country Store and the Village Inn “Shingle Hilton” with the Peterson family. He also spent many years working for Carter Kelly, where he retired in 1992.
Cliff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He accomplished everything he ever set his mind to! He served our great country, was a talented carpenter and loved to fly his airplane, ride his horses, ski, golf, and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; daughters, Debra Massaro (Loren) and Lynne Elhardt (Bryan); son, Doug Jackson (Amber); grandchildren, Jaymee Aldridge, Chad Jackson, Brooke Coleman, Shara Izzo, Jesse Elhardt and Jade Elhardt; and great-grandchildren, Drew Jones, Brien Jones, Ethan Coyan, Hailey Jackson, Ryan Jackson and Dallas Izzo.
The family is having a small celebration of Cliff’s life on Saturday, July 21.
