Daniel Joseph Augustine was born in San Leandro, Calif., to Spanish immigrants. He was first-generation born in the United States. He loved his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman, passing this along to his children and grandchildren. He moved his family from Fremont, Calif., to Diamond Springs, Calif., in 1975, where he owned U-Guys Pizza Parlor. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sister, Angie Garcia; daughters, Shelli Sherwood, Staci Bishop (Danny) and Danita Gibson (Steven); a son, Lawrence Augustine (Debbie); six step-children, Darnell, Brian (Tommy Sue), Matt, Diana, John and Kenny (Tiffany); two nephews, Larry and Toff Garcia; and 36 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
