David Viramontes Jr. passed away at his home in Diamond Springs, Calif., on July 18, 2012. He was born in Fresno, Calif., on April 26, 1957, and raised in Sanger, Calif. David is survived by his two children, Courtney Amber Viramontes-Cruey aka “Bug” of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Austin Tyler Viramontes aka “Son” of San Diego, Calif. They were the true light in his life, his pride and joy, and they will miss him.”Dave” was a life long San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan, and the owner of Austin Electric. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Alicia Viramontes; and son-in-law, John Cruey; parents, David Viramontes Sr. and Antonia Viramontes of Sanger, Calif.; brother, Ben Viramontes, sister-in-law, Stacy Viramontes, and nephew, Chase Viramontes of Kingsburg, Calif.; grandmother, Ruth Gomez of Sanger, Calif.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts, Dave’s children request that donations be made to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention online at afsp.org. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at noon at the Diamond Springs Fire Hall, located at 3734 China Garden Road in Diamond Springs (behind the fire station). It will be a potluck, and all are invited to attend. This obituary is in honor of two children who have lost a father, from a mother who wants the pain to stop. May he rest in peace.
