Donald Charron passed away in Jackson, Calif., on Nov. 26, 2010, after a long illness, at the age of 55. Don was preceded in death by his father, Hervy, and leaves his loving mother, Mavis of Plymouth. He was the beloved brother of Richard, George, Cheryl and Kathy.
Don worked as a chef at the Savoy in Pleasant Hill and Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. He moved to Placerville in 1989 and was a Chef at the Smokehouse on Main Street, opening the Black Seep in Cameron Park and the Blue Bayou in Sacramento. He was also the Operation Manager and Executive Chef at Sam’s Town. He worked the last seven years as a manager at Applebee’s.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Placerville on Friday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. Private inurnment has been held.
