Edith was born in Aberdeen, Scotland; moved to Canada, where she lived for five years; then moved to Anaheim, Calif. Her final days were spent at Western Slope. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Georgia Classen; grandchildren, Ron Florence, Jane Hall, Gordon Florence, Sandy Florence, Christine Fortin and Brt Classen; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hall, Alexis Classen, Samantha Fortin, Garret Fortin, Christopher Florence, Candice Florence and Jacob Florence; and great-great-grandchild, Vincent Gutierrez.
Edith lived in Placerville for the past seven years. She loved to entertain in her home and had a great time planning parties. She would dance, sing and dress up for all occasions. She spent more than 20 years working for Allergan Pharmaceuticals in Irvine, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Classen; daughter, Annette Florence; and son, Albert J. Classen.
A small service was held in Edith’s home on Saturday, March 9, with family and friends. Her remains will be taken and scattered at Daldowie Crematorium in Glasgow, Scotland. She will be greatly missed by her family.
