Trusting in the promises of Jesus Christ, Florence Evalyn Sampson, of Placerville, went to Him Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was born in El Reno, Okla., on March 22, 1926, and married her husband of 66 years in Kansas City, Kan., on Sept. 7, 1946. She leaves seven great-grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; six children, Michael of Georgetown, Terry of Los Angeles, James of Chugiak Alaska, Catherine of Folsom, Rebecca of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Timothy of Placerville; and her beloved husband, Pastor Emeritus Marlin J. Sampson.
The family expresses its appreciation to the staff of the Gold Country Skilled Care Facility for their loving care of Florence. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to First Lutheran Church or to Snowline Hospice. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
