Frances Louise Augusta passed away after a short illness at Marshall Hospital on March 17, 2012. She was the beloved wife of 22 years to Boyd Augusta of Georgetown; loving mother of Steven (Mindi) Hawthorne of Camino; sister of Linda (Tom) Cimo of Tampa, Fla.; devoted grandmother of Brianna Hawthorne; and aunt of Mallory Cimo. She is also survived by her dear Chihuahua, Brutessa.
A native of Marion, N.C., aged 65, Frances was the owner of Hair Express in Pollock Pines and later moved the business to Garden Valley. She loved to take care of her plants and travel on vacations, especially cruising on Holland America to Alaska.
A funeral service will be held for Frances on Wednesday, March 28, at 1 p.m., at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road in Placerville. Private inurnment will follow later. A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. Contributions in Frances’ name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at stjude.org.
