Guy Scott Hickey, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away on Oct. 1, 2013, at his home in Placerville, Calif., where he resided for the past 27 years. Born on Oct. 9, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., to Edward and Harriet Hickey, he was 66.

Guy Scott was known for his friendly disposition and family spirit. He enjoyed animals, fishing and golf and spent most of his weekends “putting around the house.” He loved his wife and daughters and was forever talking about “one of his girls.” He was an active member of the community and devoted the last 10 years of his life employed by Marshall Hospital, where he found many friends and enjoyed his work immensely.

Guy Scott is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda; his four daughters, Jeniphur, Lisa (John), Jessica and Elizabeth (David); two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Harriet; and his brother, Donald “Mike” Kransel.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Marshall Hospital for their loving care and support.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, at Green Valley Mortuary, 3004 Alexandrite Drive in Rescue, Calif. Family and friends are welcome at 10 a.m.; services will begin at 10:30.
