Oct. 4, 1933 — March 13, 2012
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Harvey L. Beglau died at home with his blended family at his side. He was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Lodi, Calif., and spent most of his life in Sacramento. He moved with his wife to Pollock Pines when they retired.
Harvey was a truck driver for all his working years and he loved his job. He was a gifted mechanic and wood worker and was happiest when he was repairing or building something. He was a devoted husband to Darlene; brother to Shirley Richter and Del Grimm; father to Realee Kingsley (Kelly), Robert Beglau and Pam Chambers; step-father to Steven Scott, Linda Mar (Tim) and Kelli Scott; and grandfather of six. He loved his two Shih Tzu dogs, Mandi and Cricket, and they laid with him until he passed.
A celebration of Harvey’s life will be held at his residence at 5766 Pony Express Trail #34 on April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. If you have a picture or story to share, please do.
