Herbie succumbed to congestive heart failure on Jan. 8, 2013, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Bernie; two loving daughters, Lisa (Dennis) Wade and Cyndi Bilodeau; two grandchildren, Lianne and Drew Devera; and her dogs, Kye and Keegan. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings.
Herbie was a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and prior to her retirement, worked for the State of California. Born in Wisconsin, she lived most of her life in California. For the past 16 years, she was resident of Georgetown and lived for 20 years in Camarillo and Somis. She was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows Memento Lodge No. 37. A caring, loving person, she was very proud of her grandchildren and especially loved shopping expeditions with her granddaughter. She was a fan of all things Disney and enjoyed sharing this with her daughters and grandkids.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. (rosary at 10:30 a.m.), at St. James Catholic Church at 2831 Harkness Street in Georgetown, Calif. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
