Bart passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in Placerville. A Southern California native, he was born in 1937. Bart attended College in South Pasadena where he was President of the Fraternity Council. He joined the Navy after college assigned to CVA Shangrila, later becoming an LA County Sherriff’s Deputy. In 1973 he relocated his family to Placerville, where he served the community as a Placerville Police Officer and later as a CRC Campus Police officer.
“Papa Bart” is survived by his sons, Brett Danz and Dale Danz; daughters, Diana Lichtenberger and Kathy La Force; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m., at Chapel of the Pines Mortuary, 2855 Cold Springs Road in Placerville, Calif. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
