Jim passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2013, at his home in Cameron Park, Calif., surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, James (Laura) and Daniel (Rio); daughter, Christine; grandchildren, Saphirre, Tatianna, Devin and Dylan; his siblings, Phyllis Endress, Rita Shaulis and Richard Long; mother-in-law, Pat Nathan; and many other relatives.
Jim was a resident of El Dorado County for eight years and was employed as a carpenter for the State of California Department of Special Education for over 33 years. He was very active with the Boy Scouts and was also a member of Star Touring and Riding Chapter 153 in Sacramento. He was a member of the Nation Model Railroad Association and associated local railroading groups. He touched a lot of lives and will be missed greatly by all who knew him, especially his loving wife Marilyn.
There will be a celebration of life service at Foothills United Methodist Church located at 3301 Green Valley Road in Rescue, Calif., on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. Instead of flowers memorials to the Boy Scouts or the Pulmonary Fibrous Foundation are requested.
