“Rick” Norwood entered into eternal rest in his sleep early Wednesday morning after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. He was born in England, Ark., and moved to California as a child. Rick passed peacefully at home in El Dorado Hills where he lived and was cared for by his son, Vincent and daughter in-law, Karen; and three grandchildren, Jarrod, Natalie and Raegan Norwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Norwood; his brothers, Jeffery and David Norwood; and his sister, Mary Eickmeyer. He is survived by three brothers, Jimmy Norwood of Shingle Springs, Gary Norwood of Tracy and Roger Norwood of Pine Bluff, Ark. He leaves behind five children, James, Anthony, Rodney, Vincent and Katie; and 10 grandchildren. He will be missed by all!
Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m., at Church of the Foothills, 2380 Merrychase Drive in Cameron Park, Calif. Please join family and friends in a celebration of Rick’s life.
