Jamie Kae Whitney Baxley was a fourth-generation resident of El Dorado County born on July 24, 1943. She was raised in Kelsey and graduated from El Dorado High School in 1961. She was the wife of Bill Baxley and mother of Richard, Deron and Christie Christensen. She was a grandmother of five and a great-grandmother of one. She leaves three sisters, Judy Shipman, Merriann White and Loralei Butts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Pierson Young; and brother, Ray Whitney.
Jamie passed from this life on March 3, 2013, and was laid to rest in Kelsey Cemetery. Remembrances in Jamie’s name can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She will be missed.
