Jewell Dean (Turner, Bias) Dunigan passed away April 12, 2013, in Folsom at the age of 85. Born April 6, 1928, in Durant, Okla., she lived in Placerville, Calif., for the past 15 years after retiring from DOD at China Lake in Ridgecrest, Calif. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 18, at 11 a.m., at Chapel of the Pines, 2855 Cold Springs Road in Placerville. Burial will follow at Westwood Hills Memorial Park in Placerville.
Jewell was preceded in death by her siblings, Lee Bias, Doyle Dunigan and J. C. Turner. She is survived by one sister, Louise; four brothers, James, David Jr., Henry and Ralph; five children, Jimmy Lee Bias and his wife, Gail of Chapman, Kans., Lois Ann McDaniel and her husband, Jimmy of Cameron Park, Calif., Richard Guenn Bias and his wife, Vivian of Taft, Calif., Randy Gene Bias of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Janet Sue Britton and her husband, Paul of El Dorado Hills, Calif.
Jewell had a very large loving family. She was one of few people that had a family of five generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was having lunch with her dear friends at the Placerville Senior Center. She will be missed by all.
