John Charles Thomas passed at Marshall Hospital surrounded by immediate family and friends. Born in upstate New York, he married Carol and they moved to California. He is survived by his brother, Richard; sister, Barbara; five wonderful children, Deborah, Michelle, John, Erick and Laura; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many “rent-a-kids;” and special long-time friend, “Doc;” as well as a large extended family.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. A 40+ year resident in El Dorado and Amador counties, he was an independent contractor. He built many residential and commercial structures. He was a giving and loving person to both family and friends, always helping others. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge, assisting in all Elk endeavors.
John was truly Loved by all he came in contact with and will be greatly missed by all.
