Judy, a long-time resident of Georgetown, succumbed to congestive heart failure early Tuesday morning at Marshall Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Richard for 51 years; devoted mom to Christian (Tammy) Prince and Jenni (Mike) Prince Mahoney; and grandma to Mathew and Tyler Walker and Ciara and Carson Prince. She is also survived by son-in-law, Tim Walker; and her shelter dog, Gabby. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Laurie and Michelle; and her granddaughter, Shannon.
Judy was an avid reader and writer, known for her penmanship, a former reporter for the Georgetown Gazette, a board member of Rubicon Soda Springs, Inc., an excellent cook and one who enjoyed gardening. However her true passion was as an antiques and collectibles dealer, which she pursued for well over 20 years.
Services will be announced at a later date. Donations in her name may be made to the Michelle Prince Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of El Dorado Savings Bank in Georgetown, Calif. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
