Leonard F. Butts, passed away in Placerville on June 26, 2012. He was husband of 30 years to Magda Butts of the Bay Area; loving father of Michael (Wendi) Butts of El Dorado and Kevin (Nancy) Butts of Fair Oaks; and grandfather of Kameron, Amber, Brianna, Sarah and Sophia.

Leonard was born in Provo, Utah, on May 22, 1944. He was a longtime member of the Laborers Union and his charismatic personality made him a friend to everyone he met.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, at 1 p.m., at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road in Placerville. Private inurnment has been held. Contributions in Leonard’s name may be made to the El Dorado Animal Shelter, 511 Placerville Drive, Placerville, CA 95667. Friends may sign an electronic guestbook and leave condolences at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
