Lynette Marie Hamburg, 64, a resident of Cameron Park, Calif., passed away on Nov. 3, 2013, surrounded by family. She was born in Oakland, Calif., on June 27, 1949. She graduated from Oakland Senior High School in 1967.
Lynette was a resident of El Dorado County since 1984 and a retiree of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s department after 19 years of service. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Courtnie Nicole Hamburg. She is survived by her son, David Hamburg; daughter, Kristie Marie Blasingame; son-in-law, Mathew Donald Blasingname; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hamburg; granddaughter, Kylie Rae Hamburg; and grandson, Tyson David Hamburg.
Lynette truly was a rights activist for peace and change and believed that everyone deep down was as kind-hearted as she was. Forever optimistic, loving, affectionate and genuinely a kindred spirit, she will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a small donation be made in Lynette’s name to the Make A Wish Foundation at Make A Wish America, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6062, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6662.
