July 21, 1937 — July 16, 2012
Marilyn J. Hunt, of Cameron Park, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at the age of 74, after a long battle with COPD. Born in Placerville, Calif., July 21, 1937, to John “Jack” and Dorothy Pilatti, she graduated from El Dorado High School in 1955 and married Odis Hunt of Placerville in 1956.
Marilyn and her husband opened 49er Liquors in Placerville in 1976, where she ran the daily operations of the business until they sold it in 1994 when she retired. She loved to cook and could be found in her kitchen almost any day preparing many of her favorite recipes. Grandchildren soon came into her life and they were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them. She is survived by her husband, Odis; her son, Charles and his wife, Christy; her two grandchildren, Madison and Mason; her uncle, Lloyd Pilatti; and many cousins.
At Marilyn’s request, there will be a private graveside service for the immediate family and in lieu of flowers any remembrances in her name may go to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville.
