Marion “Wayne” Griswold was born Feb. 21, 1930, in Tabler, Okla., the son of Claud and Francis Griswold. He passed on March 29, 2014, at the age of 84. He lived in Placerville area for 35 years and owned M.W. Griswold Trucking Inc. He was a generous man, loved his family and enjoyed his friends.
Wayne will be sadly missed by this wife, Evelyn Bacoccini Taylor-Griswold; grandson, Thomas Griswold; sons, Brandon Taylor, Brian Taylor and wife Heather and James Taylor; grandchildren, Alysia Taylor, Samantha Mitchell and Aiden, Lindsey and Reese Taylor; great-grandchildren, Astarra Laughlin, Kaison Taylor and Bailey Mitchell; brother, Billy Watkin and wife Sandra; sister, Sandy Serervin and husband Bob; and many friends and family.
A memorial potluck gathering for friends and family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sunday, April 27, at Bradford Park, 4500 Mother Lode Drive in Shingle Springs. Please bring your favorite food to share and your best story and help us celebrate Wayne’s life.
