Martin Joseph “Joe” Gleason
Feb. 21, 1921 – Feb. 22, 2013
Joe Gleason, an El Dorado county resident for more than 40 years, passed away peacefully at home, with his family surrounding him, last Wednesday evening.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elleen; two sons, Patrick (Robyn) Gleason of Manteca, CA and Michael Gleason of Oregon; grandson Aaron (Tiffany) Gleason and a great granddaughter, Arianna of Stockton, CA.
Joe was a USAF Pilot who served in the Pacific during WWII, a retired USAF Reservist and Civil Servant. He was member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus, and a 35 year volunteer at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, 3/1/2013, at 11:00, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3109 Sacramento St., Placerville. Inurnment will take place at a later date at The Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in Joe’s name, to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619 or www.snowlinehospice.org. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines.
