Mac went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2013. At 89 years of age he leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Grace; and his children, Lynne Homme of Placerville and twins Jim Johnson of Montana and Sue Homme of Riverside, Calif. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Matt and Leslie Johnson, Chris Homme, Anne Gordon and Bree and Devon Homme; and one great-grandson, Jackson.
Mac was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed physical labor and was always fixing something. He was an electrician by trade and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 340 for 60 years. He was very active in the Church of the Nazarene and was always quick to help others. Mac served in World War II under General Patton, in central Europe as a Sergeant in Combat Infantry.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Placerville Church of the Nazarene, 6040 Mother Lode Drive on Friday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, Compassionate Ministries.
