Mary Walker

Dec. 25, 1918 – March 24, 2012

Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Walker died at the age of 93 years. She has now joined Paul Thomas Walker, her husband of 46 years. They are together again.

Mary lived a full life; she was the longest lived person in the Smith family. She loved the outdoors and loved to travel, something she and Paul did throughout their married life. She loved to see what was over the next hill. Her unsatisfied sense of adventure was something she passed on to her children.

Though she was preceded in death by her loving spouse and youngest daughter, Kathy, she leaves behind two daughters, Carole and Ellen; and one son, Tom; as well as 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. To those who knew her, she will be remembered as a caring person who helped where she could. She will be missed.

A memorial mass will be held Monday, April 16, at 11 a.m., St. Patrick Catholic Church in Placerville, Calif. Online condolences may be posted at In lieu of flowers please make contributions in Mary’s name to The American Cancer Society.
