Michael St Jean

Oct. 13, 1956 — July 9, 2013

Mike ended his year-long battle with complications following extensive cancer surgery. He died at 10 p.m. on July 9, 2013, battling to the end, surrounded by family at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento. He was born at the USAF Base Hospital in Big Springs, Texas on Oct. 13, 1956. He grew up in an Air Force family.

Cheerful and outgoing, Mike was always the first one in the family to meet and befriend new neighbors and schoolmates. A carpenter after he finished high school, he went on to become a home designer and builder, earning his Associates Degree in architecture from Sierra College in Rocklin, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Irene; sons, Daniel and Steven; and grandson, Anderson, who live in Greenstone, Calif. His sister, Audrey Solino, lives in North Highlands, Caif. Mom and Dad, Fred and Nancy St. Jean, reside in El Dorado Hills, Calif.

Graveside services will on Tuesday, July 16, be at 11 a.m., at the Green Valley Cemetery located at 3004 Alexandrite Drive in Rescue, Calif. A reception will follow at the St. Jean residence, 1070 Brookline Circle in El Dorado Hills.
