Myrtle Bowman was born Oct. 21, 1923 in San Jose, Calif. She passed on the morning of May 22, 2013, after struggling for many years with a heart condition. She was a Navy bride, marrying her husband Lloyd in 1954. Upon Lloyd’s retirement from the Navy, he and Myrtle began a successful jewelry business in Santa Rosa, Calif. After retiring from that business in 1984 they relocated to Pollock Pines, Calif. They literally traveled around the world in 1994. They made many fishing expeditions along the coast and to Montana, and went south for most winters.
Myrtle is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lloyd; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Edwin Lloyd; and her daughter, Glenda Coval. At her request, no services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville, Calif.
