Myrtle Faye Crosswell was born in Stuart, Okla., to John and Maude Ruble. She passed away at the age of 93 in Placerville, Calif. She spent years teaching and substituting. She was known by many for her quilts and crocheting. Her family’s memories include her love of gambling — not only the slots, but her many bets on football games, as well.
Myrtle is survived by sons, John and Jeff (Debbie) Crosswell; eight grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harmon H. Crosswell; and her daughter, Carolyn Sue Harwell.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 14, at 2 p.m., at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, 2720 Cold Springs Road in Placerville (95667). Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com. Myrtle was much loved and “a good woman.”
