May 11, 1934 — Oct. 11, 2012
Patricia (Pat) JoAnn Herzig, born on May 11, 1934, to Raymond and Mary Charnock in Richmond, Calif., entered into rest on Oct. 11, 2012, at her home, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert G. Herzig. Al and Pat were married in 1951 and spent the next 61 years in Placerville.
Pat was known as “Gram” to her family, grandkids and their friends and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Al and Pat loved to travel. They were able to vacation all around the world. She also enjoyed taking the bus to the horse races in San Francisco and going on day trips to Tahoe to gamble and have lunch.
Pat was a “Woman of the Moose” in Camino. She was happy when Red Hawk opened here in town; she called it, “The Buzzard.” For years the highlight of her weeks was to go on Fridays to the Beauty Shop to get all the good gossip … oh, and to get her hair done, too!
Pat/Gram was definitely one of a kind and those who knew her know what we mean. She will be missed by so many.
Pat is survived by her son, Albert Herzig (Jessy); her daughter, Teddi Merrill (Chuck); grandkids, Angela, Heidi, Shane, Waylon, Payton and Steevie; and her great-grandkids, Logan, Jalen, Kamryn, Danika, Devon, Ollie and Miles.
Per her request no services will be held.
