Paul Coppock was born to Paul and Hazel Coppock in Bellingham, Wash., on July 1, 1934, and passed peacefully at home in Pollock Pines, Calif., on April 6, 2013. He was raised in Vallejo and graduated from Vallejo High School in 1953. He worked as a welder for more than 55 years and was a 45-year member of UA local 343 Plumbers and Steamfitters.
Paul was a lover of all trains, in particular steam and HO gauge. He continued to enjoy the outdoors and camping with his family throughout his life. Nothing gave him more pleasure than spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary; his mother, Hazel Coppock; four children, Paula (Jim) Hadley, Rochelle Martin, Douglas (Mary) Coppock and Scott Coppock; eight grandchildren, Andrea, Justin, Tony, Leslie, Jeremy, Sara, Michaela and Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Paul’s name to either Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Road, Diamond Springs, CA 95619, or St. Jude Medical Center, 1847 Sunny Crest Drive, Fullerton, CA 92835. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
