A native of Ash Valley, Calif., Ray was 89 years old. He had lived in El Dorado County since he was 9 years old. He was an employee for more than 46 years of the Michigan Cal Lumber Co. in Camino. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post #119 of Placerville. As a member of the Hangtown Twirlers and the Main Street Strollers, Ray enjoyed square and line dancing and loved to bowl, hunt, fish and tend to his land.
A memorial service will be held on Feb. 10, at 1 p.m., at Green Valley Community Church, 3500 Missouri Flat Road. Private inurnment has been held.
