Richard “Dick” Smith, born July 14, 1929, passed into the next life on Nov. 17, 2010, reuniting with his beloved wife Geneva. He is survived by his children, Michelle Gauthier (Phil), Darlene Moehring (John), Beverly Baker and Richard Glenn Smith II (Amy); grandchildren, Tara (Bryan), Karen (Derik), Brandi, Ryan, Parker and Emma; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Nikki, James, Jared and Khristian.
Dick was a Korean War veteran, retired as general manager of Valley Industrial Services and was an active founding partner of ADD Growers in Rescue until he passed away. He was a previous member of Rotary Club of Elk Grove and Valley High Country Club. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
At his request, a celebration of life will be held at the Smith family home between 12 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27. For information please call 530-306-7465. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Diabetes Association.
