Richie J. Ureno, 26, of “Hangtown” Placerville, Calif., left this world way too early and at such a young age. He was a beloved husband to Kelsey Ureno; son to Karin Pietrzyk and Walter Mustain; a big brother to Amanda and Timmy Mustain; and uncle to Jennifer, Bentley and Christian. He was a nephew, a cousin and a friend to many. He left with the angels on May 9, 2014, in Placerville, due to a tragic accident while working on a friend’s vehicle.
Richie was born on March 23, 1988, in Stockton, Calif. He grew up in Placerville and graduated from Union Mine High School in 2006. He loved firefighting, traveling, fishing, swimming, shopping, gambling, going to the beach, hanging out with friends and just anything outdoors. No matter what he went through in life he always had a smile. There’s nothing more he loved than spending time with his family. He loved helping anyone that he could and touched many lives. He was always so spontaneous and so open to try anything. No matter what the situation was, he always looked at the bright side and made people laugh. He just started living his life and really understanding what life was. Richie will be missed, loved and never forgotten.
There will be a celebration of life in honor of Richie at Green Valley Community Church at 3500 Missouri Flat Road in Placerville on Friday, June 13, at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
