Robert “Bob” (Tiny) Morrison passed away on May 18, 2014, at the age of 78, in Cullman, Ala. He was born on June 30, 1935, to Lewis Alexander Morrison and Eva “Blanche” Hartzler in Terre Haute, Ind.
A long time resident of El Dorado, Bob worked as the Produce Manager of the Placerville Safeway store for many years before his election as a Business Agent for the United Food and Commercial Workers union. He played center for Purdue University and was an MP in the U.S. Army. His greatest passions were travel, history and weapons. He served many years as the Treasurer of the El Dorado Rod and Gun Club.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Marie Morrison; son, Martin Andrew Morrison and wife, Christine; daughter, Linda Lou Thomas and husband, Phillip; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janetta Lee Morrison; and daughter, Brenda Sue Morrison. In the month prior to his death, he knew true joy and peace, having received Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, at 2 p.m., at Calvary Chapel Placerville, 6575 Commerce Drive in Diamond Springs. He will be interred at the family plot in the El Dorado cemetery.
