Robert “Shep” W. Shepard, a World War II Army Air Corp Vet, passed on Nov. 19, 2013. He was 96 and a resident of Gold Country Retirement Center for many years.
Shep lived through the Great Depression. He became a POW in Germany during WWII when his B-17 was shot down and crash-landed. He later became a world traveler, very much enjoying cruises.
Shep is survived by his daughter, Dorie in Brea, Calif.; his son, Robert “Shep” in Henderson, Nev.; many grandchildren; and a few great-grandchildren.
