Ronald David Liddell died Feb. 3, 2014. A lifelong resident of El Dorado County, he was born Nov. 28, 1941, in Placerville, Calif. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric; wife, Viola; mother, Genevieve; father, Freeman; older brother, George Clough; and sister, Mildred Balderson. He is survived by his twin brother, Don Liddell; and his older brother, Richard Liddell.
Ron was a self proclaimed preacher, operated a house for the homeless and also took his ministry to the streets in El Dorado and Sacramento counties. Amongst his many trades, Ron was a timber faller, a miner and a butcher. But most of all, he was a free spirit who loved the outdoors. He will be missed by many. The family would like to thank all who befriended him and who gave him a helping hand.
A celebration of life will be held on Feb. 16, at 2 p.m., at Growlersburg V.F.W. Hall in Georgetown, Calif.
