I had the good fortune of meeting Roy in the early Nineties. He had built himself a wonderful 9 hole putting green in his back yard.
It was well designed and built. All natural martial as well as mower cut grass. What fun.
Roy became a good friend and confidant. His love for Joy of all types was very inspirational.
Barbara was a woman so different then Roy yet they were a match made in heaven. She was what I like to call, "a native son" Born and died in Placerville. I grew very fond of her.
They will both be in my thoughts always.

He was a special man. His type does not come by often enough in this world.

I met Roy while working for Cold Springs Golf & Country Club in the late 90's. I still remember his Sweet Smile and the Love he had fo his Family. I was saddened when he lost his voice, but He NEVER EVER Lost his Spirit or His Smile. Go be with Your Blushing Bride and Your Baby Girl. Rest High on that Mountain Roy, God bless and Keep you. Until we meet again Dear Sir.
