After a long and courageous battle with ALS, Stacey Alan Howe died at his home in Pollock Pines on Oct. 4, 2012. He was born in Placerville and spent most of his life in this area. He worked in construction and in 2002 established his own company, HBH Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and camping. His greatest enjoyment and love was his family.
Stacey married Patricia Gazdik in 1993 and moved to Pollock Pines. They were blessed with three children, Matthew, Mariah and Elizabeth. Besides his wife and children, Stacey is survived by his mother, Margaret Howe; sisters, Shiela (Mike) Bradburn and Sue (Dave) Phillips; brother, Stan Howe; niece, Andrea Howe; sister-in-law, Marie Howe; and two children from a previous marriage, Christy LoSchiavo and Jeremy Howe. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Howe; and brother, Steve Howe. Stacey will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Patrick Church, 3109 Sacramento Street in Placerville on Friday, Oct. 26, at 11:30 a.m. Private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville, Calif.
