Thomas Robert Boberg was born on June 19, 1982 in South Lake Tahoe and moved to Cameron Park with his family 18 years ago. He was taken to be with the Lord on Aug. 3, 2012. Thomas tragically departed from this life leaving wife Kristen Boberg, his high school sweetheart; and their one-year-old daughter, Audrey. He also leaves behind his mother, Joanna Jurgens; father, Michael Boberg; step-mother, Colene Boberg; and brothers, Joseph Boberg and Jeffrey Jurgens. He is survived by many close family and friends, including his sister-in-law, Brandy Boberg; nephew, Chase Boberg; niece, Cailyn Boberg; father- and mother-in-law, Dave and Denise Smeltzer; brother- and sister-in-law, Eric and Brenda Smeltzer; nieces, Brielle and Chloe Smeltzer; grandparents, Barbara Grant, Barbara Borberg, and Virgil and Odette Lonsdale; and several aunts, uncles cousins and dear friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Grant and Tom Boberg.
Thomas worked hard and enjoyed building homes, operating his tractors, fishing, camping, the river, his dogs and hanging out with family and close buddies when he wasn’t working. Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 12, at 4:30 p.m., at Coloma Resort in Coloma, Calif. Memorial donations be made to Audrey’s college fund. Gone too soon but never forgotten. Tom will always hold a special place in my heart. My thoughts and condolences go out to all who held Tom in their hearts.
