Virgina "Jean" Hutching-Waldron

July 25, 1927 – Nov. 8, 2011

Virgina “Jean” Hutchings-Waldron passed peacefully at home on Nov 8, 2011, at the age of 84. Jean was born July 25, 1927, in St. George Mo., the daughter of Isadore Cuthburth and Rose Garner. She was married to her late husband William (Bill) Hutchings and lived in Sacramento. She married Rex Waldron and lived in Placerville for over 30 years.

Virginia is survived by her two sons, Victor (of Placerville) and Richard, wife Wendy (of Reno) and Rex’s children, Karen Hurn, husband Rob (of Corning) and Dale Waldron (of Placerville). She had eight brothers and sisters. Two preceded her in death, Dean Garrison and Ron Cutburth (surviving wife, Jean of Chico) and is survived by Betty Bourn (of Sacramento), Carl Cuthburth, wife Anita (of Graham, TX), Daphany Withers, husband Grant (of Rockland), Jay Cuthburth, partner Ann (of San Jose), Pat Yadon, husband Dale (of Alva, Fla.), and Larry, wife Joan (of Uscan, Ariz.). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Nathan Hutchings (of Sacamento), Jessica Morton, husband Dr. James R. (of Placerville) and Chris Waldron (of Placerville); three great-grandchildren, Rylie Hutchings, Tara and PJ Cervantes (of Sacramento); 38 nieces and nephews; and two brothers-in-law, Don Hutchings, wife Judy (of Placerville) and David Hutchings, wife Carol (of Dinuba).

Rex and Jean shared a very full and happy life together. They loved to entertain friends and family. They were longtime members of the Hangtown A’s, The Elks, and Cameron Park Country Club. Jean was an avid quilter and gardener.

Her family was the most important thing in her life.

No services will be held and donations may be made to Snowline Hospice or American Cancer Society.

We will all greatly miss her.
