It is with great sadness we announce the passing of William “Bill” Anthony, age 88, a resident of the Folsom and El Dorado areas for many years.
July 1951 Bill married Lorraine, the love of his life. They shared 60 years of marriage prior to her passing Dec. 24, 2011. He retired from Granite Construction Company after 26 years of service. He was a faithful member of Solid Rock Faith Church. He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Doug) Cole of Rescue and Carol (Mitch) McCluhan of Elk Grove; grandchildren, Corina (Gary) Gassaway of West Sacramento, Lynn (Sandy) Zabriskie of Sacramento, Troy Zabriskie of Sacramento, Robbie (Rose) Kinslow of Oakley, Lisa (Blake) Gunn of Texas, Travis (Kelsi) Cole of El Dorado and Cameron (Monica) Cole of Vacaville; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Priscilla; sons, Daniel and Charles; and grandson, Michael.
Services will be held Friday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m., at Green Valley Mortuary in Rescue Calif. A reception will follow at Solid Rock Church.
