Bill Tomlinson

Jan. 21, 1942 — March 1, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of William Frank “Bill” Tomlinson announces his sudden passing on Friday, March 1, 2013, in Placerville, Calif. Bill suffered a massive heart attack and went to be with the Lord quickly.

A memorial service and celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday, March 29, at 1 p.m., at the Green Valley Community Church in Placerville. He is lovingly remembered by so many residents of El Dorado County and is survived by two daughters, Kathy Tomlinson Madruga and Debbie Chrisman; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Amie, Daniel and John; five great-grandchildren, Renee, Jesse, Nathaniel, Jordan and Maylee; two sisters, Reda Tomlinson and Dianna Pye; and his father, Alfored Tomlinson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Tomlinson; brother, Preston Chapman; and daughter, Karen Lynn Carlson.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Green Valley Community Church pastors, staff and members for being a second family and home to Bill for so many years. It was his passion to serve the Lord and he so loved each and every member of this church and this community.

Memorial donations may be made to Green Valley Community Church.

    Uncle Willie,

Your leaving was a shock, just as Dad leaving us in December. I never took the chance to say “Thank you” for speaking at his service. So, “Thank you”. You will be missed by all of us that you’ve left behind. I’ll see you again one day and we can do the Twist like you showed me when I was a baby.

    With love your niece,

    Judy
